How long before I can drive on new asphalt?
Plan on staying off it for a few days. New hot mix carries a car soon after it is rolled and cooled. Industry guidance is to wait a few days before regular use, and longer for heavy trucks and moving vans. In summer heat it stays soft, so move where you park.
What does asphalt paving cost?
It depends on the job, so we price each one after seeing it. Size, the ground under it, the base work, the asphalt thickness and the haul from the yard move the number. We come out, look at the job and give you a written quote. Driveway paving cost in Alabama covers the market ranges.
What areas do you serve?

Heavier trucks, RVs and farm equipment call for a thicker section. Your quote spells out the thickness and the base work for your driveway.
Asphalt, millings or gravel for a long driveway?
Hot mix asphalt gives the smoothest surface and the longest service, and it costs the most up front. Asphalt millings pack tighter than loose rock and hold down dust, which suits farm and timber roads. Crush and run costs the least up front and wants grading now and then. We do not do tar and chip.
Do you pave and stripe commercial parking lots?
Yes, we build, replace and expand lots for businesses, churches, schools, apartments and new commercial buildings. Truck lanes, bus loops and dumpster pads get a heavier section. Parking lot paving and striping come from the same company. We plan the work in phases with you.
When is paving season in south Alabama?
Paving runs most of the year here. Hot mix needs dry ground and has to be compacted while it is hot. Rain and cold snaps move paving dates, and winters here are mild. Alabama's highway specification stops thin hot mix layers when the air or surface drops below 40 degrees.
